Expressions of interest (EOIs) are closed
The Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD) has now closed expressions of interest from long day care services to partner with government to deliver the new model of 3-year-old preschool from 2026.
If you submitted an EOI by 28 February 2025 using the iApply portal, you will be notified of the outcome in writing from late May 2025.
If you did not submit an EOI by 28 February 2025, future opportunities to submit an EOI will be announced later in 2025 as the roll-out progresses.
If the OECD receives more eligible expressions of interest than the funding allows, we reserve the right to prioritise approvals based on quality and location of services.

Sessional preschools
The roll-out of 3-year-old preschool will occur in government and other sessional preschools in line with the geographic schedule. Visit the roll-out plan to understand when your sessional service is eligible to begin delivering 3-year-old preschool.
