Flying Start reform roadshow

The Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD) will be hitting the road in April and May for our statewide Flying Start Reform Roadshow.

The OECD’s Local Teams will host forums and events across the state and online to raise awareness and share information about the South Australian Government’s early childhood education and care reforms. These events will provide an opportunity for those working in organisations and roles that support young children and their families to find out more about these reforms as we approach the roll-out of universal 3-year-old preschool from 2026.

Further forums for families with young children and the wider community will be held from July 2025.

We are all stronger through partnership, by harnessing diverse perspectives, listening to and learning from lived experience, evidence-based research and on-the-ground views of what works. That’s why we actively collaborate with and support collaboration between early childhood professionals and providers, allied health providers, community organisations, other agencies and governments.  We can’t wait to see you there!

Details about our upcoming events and how to register are listed below.

Flying Start Forums

At the Flying Start Forums, our teams will give a presentation outlining progress with rolling out the reforms to date, provide opportunities for discussion and questions, as well as time for networking to make connections with other early childhood development professionals in the local community. Please register to attend these forums on the links below. Light refreshments will be provided. And if you can’t find an event in your area, join our online webinars on 1 or 23 May.
